FS- Creature From The Black Lagoon- $3200

Up for sale is my super dirty Creature. I have had this for 1.5 years, and haven't found the time to tear it down, so out it goes. It is all there and boots and plays, but read below-

Pros- complete, booting, playing, added the pinbits green mirror and halogen bulb. Have cliffy for it. Added LEDs in inserts and backbox.front of cabinet is not drilled.

Cons- CPU had acid damage and has been socketed and reworked by a previous owner. It has one switch column out, I haven't looked at it yet, but can guarantee that anyone that can use a soldering iron and a meter will get it fixed quickly.
Some broken plastics, ramps have some cracks/chunks at mounting tabs.
Cabinet isn't horrible, but flipper button wear present. Black paint makes for any easy repair.
Hologram is blue/green.

I am firm at $3200, but will consider trading down with cash coming my way for the right deal. I have had a ton of machines over the years, so please don't be offended if I say no... Only interested in solid states right now, but am pretty open.

I am trying to make this sound worse than it is, but I don't want the buyer to have any surprises.

Pics below...

Fun game at a great price. Wish I had the projects I already have done, this one is not far from being a really solid addition to a collection. GLWS

was thinking this would be a good one for dave since he has a slot available.

Solid game, good price, and tough to perfect. Should keep you entertained for a while Dave (maybe you can pay a little extra to have Tim spiff it up for you?)

I have had a few questions about the CPU...... This game has booted and played 100% up until last night. I have had it off for the last two months (sadly, the case with all of my games). It had the acid damage repaired by the previous owner and had worked fine. I suspect it is something minor in regards to the one switch column being out. Also, I forgot to mention, I added the FM1608 when I first bought the game, as I am horrible about changing batteries, so there is no need to ever change the batteries on this one ever again.

Unfortunately, the only thing I don't have is time. If I had time to refurb it for Dave, I wouldn't be selling it, as I love CFTBL. It appears easy on the outside, but the Super Jackpot is only something I have attained once in 20 years of playing.

Maybe this would be the one Dave cuts his refurb teeth on...... LOLOLOLOLOLOL

It actually is a VERY easy game to work on and I bet he would enjoy the game more if he did opt to dig in. There is always the group here and plenty of people willing to lend a hand if needed.

Get the ramps off and super easy to get to cleaning the rest of the game.

Go for it Dave!

I honestly appreciate the encouragement but I am actually looking forward to getting down to just owning one game and am probably going to like that so much that i will sell that in the coming weeks. I get no enjoyment out of pinball and don't even play them on a monthly basis. I just come around here for the Camaraderie and DIK slapping.

Is BSD the only one left?

I thought you still had WW and BSD?

BSD is it, assuming the buyer buys tonight. Whirlwind is still being refurbed by Tim. If you didn't know, he fell down his basement steps a few weeks ago and thinks that's a valid excuse for not finishing the game. Sorry, Tim, just bustin' your balls. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Sorry to hear that! I had no idea! Get better Tim and stop waxing the stairs so much.

I would say it is a valid excuse to make Dave wait even longer for his precious :)

Dave, LMK if you want BSD to join the lightning flipper zone of my collection ever.
