FS: Shaker motors

Post by pthermes »

I bought a surplus set of shaker motors and fabricated everything else needed to add a shaker motor to DE/Sega/Stern machines that can accept one.

The motors are Johnson HC970 - Exactly what Data East and Sega used. Frame is laser cut and bent steel. All mounting hardware included. Instead of a bulky plastic cover I trimmed down a 4" PVC cap and screw it to each end.

Inspiration and idea credit: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic ... ade-shaker

Price: Motor and board $90 + Shipping if needed
If you have the board already or want to buy the Stern one from Pinball life for $30, Just the motor for $70

Thanks,
Paul

Note: Stern changed the shaker design with the new Spike system; so may not work with WWE or KISS

Did you do the laser-cutting yourself? I have a few sheet metal projects that need to be laser cut, and I'm trying to find somewhere nearby I can do it.

Chaos - I had the laser cutting done at a local fabshop in Racine, WI from an AutoCad drawing. Where are you located,? I can send you some contact info.

I'm in Madison. If the cost isn't ridiculous for small one-offs, I'd love some contact info. DXF? Did you have to provide tool paths or just the drawing?
