Laser Cue by Madison - any info?

Post by RustyLizard »

There is a Laser Cue on Madison Craigslist that just dropped to $850. I was wondering if anyone here knows the seller or has seen the game. I know it isn't a very exciting game but I like System 7 games and sounds and price is getting close to my range on that title. Thanks. Russ

Don it appears.

He is the local Madison flipper and typically does more harm than good when "fixing" a game up. He is retired and spends much of his time hunting, 'fixing', and flipping.

Fire polishing often means "slightly melted plastics and ramps"
Clear coating = OMG why did this guy think he actually knew how to clearcoat. Recently he ruined a very nice badcats by clearcoating right over the sling mylar
Shop job = new rubbers but typically not resleeved or actually rebuilt.

He is actually a pretty nice guy and good intentioned but not very much attention to detail or apparently has not researched the best way to fix things or "restore" them.

Thanks, I figured the clearcoat couldn't be great at that price and was hoping it was done to cover cupped inserts or something. Possible the playfield is junk now too. Maybe I will wait for another price drop before contacting.

could always contact him and toss him an offer. He usually has reasonably priced games and I would guess this will sell pretty soon with the most recent price drop. It will likely play fine and for this title/price, what more can you ask for?

What Hilton said is spot on. Guy is very nice but is clueless. If there is Mylar lifting, he cuts that section out and spot clears it. LEDs means gi only. I saw this game in person and it was rough. Play field planking badly.

Thanks Dave. On top of all that I realized that there is no multi-ball on this game. I also found better pictures of it on ebay. Playfield touch-ups were poorly done. Best if I just stay away from this one.
