Hey Friends,

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe!

I went out to my familys house in Poconos, PA for a few weeks. I brought a Metallica out here last year to leave a game for me and the family to play when here.

Unfortunately, when I got here and flicked it on, the color DMD is showing 1 solid and 1 soft vertical line during play, and a 3rd solid line when flasing the score. All else is playing great.

Can anyone point me to instructions on how to fix the line issue? Is it the DMD that needs to be replaced or something on a board?

If I get a colorDMD, will that also simply resolve this? I was thinking of getting one anyway.

Super common on the Stern LED displays. I am pretty sure its defective, but as a test, you can reseat all ribbon cables and see if the lines disappear. If not, Yes, a ColorDMD will fix your issue and look glorious at the same time.

Thanks very much Tim. I got the colordmd bought, received, and installed, and the issue is no more. Plus I got color!
