League going forward

Post by reldnips »

We hope everyone is healthy and staying sane in these crazy times

We wanted to take a moment and use this as an opportunity to let everyone know what adaptations we are making to the league setup with the changes that have been necessary. Hopefully these are the last changes we will need to make to our 2020 season so that we can get back to enjoying ourselves again in the world of pinball, however we will make further adjustments if we have to. (Let’s hope not though!).

The MadCity Flippers Board voted to make the following changes to the 2020 Season:

1. April was already cancelled. May is now cancelled as well. Our reporting to the IFPA is in 2 months segments. Jan/Feb, etc… Current plans are to combine the results for March and June together since April and May are both goners.
2. If the plan to roll March & June together holds, our league year for 2020 will be 10 events instead of the planned 12. It Is usually the best 9 performances count, but since we’re down to 10, will be having best 8 count. Any further league nights having to be removed will continue to reduce this by 1 for every 2 nights cancelled.
3. The two missed league nights dues will be applied to 2021 for any members that are carrying on into the next year. Anyone who drops out at the end of the year gets the $20 back at end of year (provided we only have to cancel the two nights).

As always, if you have any concerns as we go forward, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us on the board. It’s a new world for us all, stay safe pinball family!
