Dec 8th League Night at JZs
Posted: Tue Nov 13, 2018 11:40 am
Hey League,
I'll be hosting the final league night of the year. Please let me know if you'll be making it and are interested in the gift swap (see details below), and I'll keep an update tally below in this post. Here we go...
Times (Sat Dec 8):
- Doors open at 5p for practice and food
- League begins at 7p
Location:
35 Washington Place
Madison, WI 53703
Parking:
Please use parking around my place downtown. I attached a map for visual reference. You have several options...
1. Street parking - map shows what is free all the time (just 2hr limit which ends at 6p on Sat) or metered for 2hrs which also ends at 6p on Sat. Between 5-7p on a Saturday, there should be plenty of street parking (easier on the earlier side).
2. Garage - you'll see on the map, there is a Dane County Parking ramp (113 S Henry St) that is monitored 24x7 at $1.80/hr. This is for those who refuse to find street parking and don't mind paying a couple bucks for a sure thing (though those dollars could be spent towards dollar games. live a little).
***WHERE NOT TO PARK - do not park in the stalls on Washington Place outside my unit. You will be towed before you know it and will need to spend $250 to get your car back in Sun Prairie (yuck). Seriously. Also, do not park in the garage accessed form Washington Place across my unit. That is a private garage for surrounding businesses and you will not be able to get your car out w/o a hefty fine as well.
Games:
1st level
- Tron: Legacy (Pro)
- Tommy
- Jurassic Park
4th level
- Baywatch
- The Simpsons
- Black Knight
Menu (Italian night):
- Lasagna Bolognese
- Hot Ham Whammy (sandwich with mixture of hams, prov, and pesto-mayo)
- Italian Chopped Salad
- Cups of Dirt
- Snack Mix (chips, dips, cookies, candy, etc.)
- Sodas, waters, and beers
Gift Swap is OFF! (sorry - not enough interest shown)
Some House Rulez:
1. SHOES! No shoes in the house. Clean socks and slippers only! Even if you unbox a brand new pair of shoes in front of me, still, no shoes. And if you wear dirty socks out, you should probably just stay home and rethink your life.
2. DOGS! Dogs will be roaming free. They are small and friendly. As sweet and puppy-eyed as they may look, DO NOT FEED DOGS. Their highly bred bodies and digestive systems don't handle human food. Pet, rub, and talk in a higher than your normal pitch voice to them (how all humans speak to cute things) all you please.
3. BATHROOM! Bathroom is on the top level (4th floor). Plan your bathroom trips accordingly (ie. don't get caught on Tommy if you need to potty).
4. FOOD! Food is to be kept on the kitchen level (3rd floor) only. Do not bring plates of food up/downstairs to the pinball levels. Drinks are ok on all levels. Just keep track of your drinks until they are empty (then they go into recycling cans).
5. RESPECT! Please respect my house, dogs, and things in general. The group will be roaming through all levels which has the games and food. If anything breaks/falls/etc. by accident all good. Just let me know. If you destroy things on purpose, then we may have problems. But I don't expect that.
