Scored a 1940 Cadillac!!
Genco Cadillac that is... Freakin' thing is in better shape than I am! Gummed up mechanisms and stuff, but it's gonna clean up nice! If this thing could talk!
Looking forward to seeing some dollar bills flying around on this!

I would love to play that. looks fantastic.
Re: Scored a 1940 Cadillac!!
Thanks for all the great comments! Yup, I was also stunned by the condition. It does have some rust in some scary spots (like the bumper mounting bolts) but I'm going to go very carefully on it to try and get it running perfectly. My goal is to have it ready for the MGC.
I was lucky as the seller contacted me after remembering my name from a newspaper article and doing an internet search. The game had been in the family for a very long time and was in his Dads attic the past 30 years. He wanted to see it restored and to go to a good home. I won't be selling anytime soon, and will probably give the former owner first dibs if I do. I guess the lesson is to have your name out there and the pinball will find you!
A few more pictures of 1940 engineering...

Cool game Tully! I thought it might be a payout game but it looks like it's not. I love the old bumpers and how the coiled wire is actually completing the circuit and acting as a bumper. It's cool watching the sparks fly when the ball hits them.
I heard Cadillac is the Cadillac of pinball.
