Good morning to Madison pinball league players.

We are currently looking to host league night Saturday, October 9th, 2021 (or possibly the 16th if that works better for more people).

Food and drink (non-alcoholic) will be provided. If a vegetarian option is needed (wanted) let me know and we will get that figured out.

League starts at 6pm, practice / socialization starts at 430pm.

With the rise in covid numbers and the fact that most of you are in Dane County, I will leave the mask mandate up to the individual.

Since this is probably the longest drive for most, we will watch the response and determine a week prior to the event date if this will actually happen or not.

FWIW - 10-12 members is a perfect size. Last week went well, and was actually a bit more enjoyable than with a larger group.

I have decided to cancel this event. The main reason is the rise in illnesses at the kid's schools, and it doesn't show signs of slowing. I don't want to risk the kids catching anything else, nor exposed anyone else to whatever bugs are floating around the school.

The secondary reason is the lack of acknowledgment of the event from the madison pinball community. While 10-12 people might have been good for Mark, a lot of time and effort goes into planning a solid pinball night (as anyone that has hosted knows) and I just don't see the support.

I was hesitant to host but decided to give it a shot anyway. At the current count, there are around 4 people that have said they would be coming and with 3 weeks to go, that is just sad. Sorry, I don't want to put in all the time for that (no offense to the people that said they were coming).

Hopefully, this gives someone else the time to plan and prep for October.
