What burner are you using? I am willing to bet it isn't the roms, but the burner itself. The 128 series burn at 21volts. Most USB burners won't burn them unless they have a power supply attached to them to supply that voltage.

Yup, my burner is only good to 18v, so I cant use the chips I have. I forgot about that before I bought the chips. Just want to get my space shuttle going without waiting forever for new chips to come on a slow boat

Are you using a Willem Burner (like the GQ series)? If so, if you have a powered USB hub, you can plug the programmer into that to get the voltage you need.

No, just the cheap TL866ii Plus. No way to boost it higher than 18v.

I suppose the other option is, anyone in the Madison area willing to burn a couple of chips for me if I bring them over?

Hit up Todd, he should be able to do it.... https://wisconsinpinball.com/memberlist ... file&u=126

I would burn them for you, but my stuff is packed away at the moment while I remodel some of my house.
