Have you Bought/Sold a Machine Here?

Post by ralphwiggum »

I just renewed hosting for this site, and it got me thinking a bit about the site and how it has grown. It has grown quite a bit, but still has the tight knit feel to it. The largest forum on here, by far, is the Buy/Sell Forum. So out of curiosity, have you bought/sold a game(s) on this site? Just a yes/no in the survey is fine, but if you want to post what you have bought/sold, that is fine too.

Thanks for playing! :D

A better question for me is if I’ve bought any pinball tables from any OTHER place! Almost all my purchases and sales have been through this site. I like dealing with people I know, and this site weeds out the flakes and scammers.

I haven’t sold much cause we’re pretty new to pinball, but everything in my sig was bought here except Cap Fantastic, SW, and MBR, and I’ve sold Getaway and LW3 here.

This is a great little community, Tim. It’s easy to take its existence for granted, so thank you for the time you spend maintaining it.

honestly, no idea.

I assume so, but I usually just post a game to all the spots and that gets it out there.

Just sold my T2 here, was a good experience. Its nice to be able to drop a quick text asking about a user and get a quick reply that they are a good person. Takes the worry out of having a stranger come to your house.

Thanks Tim!

Now some one sell me something! :D

Hilton, your EBD is tempting, but that rapid fire cab is SO EFFING UGLY.

EBD is sold/pending

I personally like the odd ball cab but with 80+ games now, the oddballs are fun cause they are different.

I bought a Heavy Metal Meltdown and a Data East Star Wars off this site. Both purchases were from good people and were smooth and painless.

Aww man, you must really dislike VND to push it out of your thoughts. You started a club over on Pinside, based on a VND you bought here-

Definitely bought and sold off here - at least 5 I can think of off the top of my head over the years including a bunch of parts.

Thanks, Tim, for keeping this up and running! Definitely like selling and buying from the local crew - always a positive experience.

I believe I found my Tommy on here and may soon try to sell it here. I appreciate that anything I see on here is within easy pick up range. I agree with the earlier comments to the effect that Wisconsin Pinball users are probably more reasonable to deal with than some other forums' users. Thanks for keeping this running!

I was introduced to a couple locals here because of a POTO that I missed out on. But then met the buyer of that game, which in turn led me to buying one of his games...then down the rabbit hole. Thanks ChrisK :) And Hilton too. They both got me hooked.
