Flippin The Fox/King of the Fox October 29th 2016

1 Day, 2 Tournaments!
9:30am start.
Date TBA. Late Summer/Early Fall
Will be limited to 48 players

Flipping the Fox:
The Main Tournament will be Three Strikes and Your Out Tournament played in groups of 4.
Groups of 4 players will play against each other on a single machine.
The 2 players with lowest scores in a group will receive a strike (3rd, 4th place in a match)
Tournament will be Swiss Style! This means computer will assign players with the same amount of strikes when possible.
Once you have three strikes you are Out of the Tournament and immediately get assigned to the King of the Fox.
The tournament continues until we have one player remaining as the Champion.
TGP =26 games


The King of the Fox Tournament:

48 Player Match Play Tournament.
Each round will consist of groups of 4 playing a PAPA style 3 game Matches per round.
7-5-3-1 Scoring
Games will be drawn randomly.
Players will be matched against other people as they are eliminated from the Flippin the Fox tournament.
Top 16 from Flippin the Fox will receive a first round bye.
TGP 30 or 100%

Hi Guys,

Trying to pick a date for the tournaments. I think I have settled on October 29th.
It just happens to be Halloween weekend but with leagues, other tournaments, family commitments, etc it is the best I can do.

Tournament will be limited to 48 people (will not add more).

Registration will be sometime after PinBurgh. Will post here when registration is open.

for King of the fox, are the bottom 2 players eliminated from each grouping, each round.

In other words, if I suck at Flippin the Fox, then 3 games and I am out. Then go to King of the fox and if I still suck (likely when I come to your house) then 1 round of 3 more games and I am out?

Also, are there other games to hang out and play once I am out?

Just trying to figure out if I can car pool/ able to make it for potentially a long day of my likely 6 games of pinball.

Bottom 2 are eliminated in each grouping for 3/4 player match Ups
3 loses in Flippin and your out and go into King.
If you lose in the first round of King then yes you are out of the tournament.

I have always allowed people to stay and hang out and play games till the end as long as they are available. My only strict request is that if you are out of the tournament and a game you are playing is then picked for a tournament game that you give up the game immediately and walk over to th next available game. At the last tournament, there were quite a few people that stayed after they were eliminated (me included ) and played on the open games. Never has been a problem in the past.

Might also have a game for a 1 ball nonIFPA tournament but haven't decided that yet
