Re: League Rules & Scoring
We should be set for IFPA stuff. I am getting it all hammered out with Josh/IFPA.

Re: League Rules & Scoring
Instead of money, what about making this an IFPA league, and points could be the payout? Just a random thought... That works. Nothing to it form my discussions with Josh. Just need to notify them of the league and they divide points out for each gatherthing. They take the base points for an annual ...

are they expecting machines to have a specific rubber installed?

Re: More WI tourneys.
That is a fantastic idea Jon!!! I am sure Tom would appreciate it. I have been to his collection once before (last years MGC) and it is perfect for such an event. You are right that there really does not need to be any planning for the event. It sounds like IFPA has set up the exact rules and with o...

Re: League Rules & Scoring
OK. I vote 1. No yearly entry fee 2. $10 to the host form each person in attendance for drinks and snacks 3. Since no entry fee or cash payout, then 1 division and cumulative points for the year/12 month period. 4. For absences, Tim's rule sounds good. I know I will miss quite a few during summer mo...

Re: League Rules & Scoring
I like Tim's rule suggestions as well. Draw for teams, and also draw for game depending on which games are made available for league play. I also vote for just a single division as I think for the most part the league members are all pretty close in ability. Seems like a bunch of threads have disap...

Re: League Rules & Scoring
Have we decided on league scoring format? I really do not care what we do. My only real preference is that I get to play lots of different games. For example, I would hate to be over at Tim's place and not be able to play Jolly Park because I am put into a different bank of games. I actually am a bi...

Re: More WI tourneys.
Tully, If Jon defects, I will lend you a hand. It is the only way I will make it to the event and probably the right thing to do. If you can't beat em, then run the events so you can join em' ;) I won't know for certain if I'm in until later this year. The comment was more or less a heads-up. Looks...

Re: More WI tourneys.
My 'spite' comes from the fact that I have attempted to provide my input to Josh/IFPA on this matter and it has fallen on deaf ears. The only response I have even gotten from them was something to the fact of "We have our reasons for running things the way we do". Which I have interpreted ...

Re: More WI tourneys.
I am actually debating running the REAL WI state Championship at a private residence on the same date that IFPA is running their fake WI championships. As many of you know I feel the IFPA state championship stuff is a crock based on 2 things: 1. As Jon pointed out, the state you live in has nothing ...
