Agreed... Mark is top notch... Once upon a time, I owned this machine too, and will go on record as to saying it is my 2nd favorite card themed pinball machine behind Joker Poker.

Really underated game.

Super fair deal at 1500, playfield looks really nice.

Factory settings could be something as simple as dead batteries in the backbox.

Looks like CPR still has the BG if you cant find a decent used one.

I think it is pretty cool, but at the same time, it all depends on the implementation. Being able to update your software on the fly would be nice, and it would be kind of cool to see a special mode applied to a machine for a one-day mini tournament, or something along those lines. Have you tried another DMD in there? I suspect one of two things... High voltage section of DMD driver starting to go out of spec, or your DMD itself is starting to go south.

Also, an easy first step- try swapping your ribbon cable going from driver to DMD.
