Re: Far Our stuck in Game Over. Won't reset.

Well I got it. Some wires were cut on the coin door. Once it was running I found a lot more errors. Ball doesn't launch, no ball counter, bonuses don't add, bumpers don't work, etc. There's a bit more, but this one will be one hell of a project... it looks so nice though.

Re: Far Our stuck in Game Over. Won't reset.

No I bought it like that. The game over light stay on and that's about it. I haven't messed with it yet. The button on the door does absolutely nothing. If I reset the Game Over Relay by hand it kicks back on as soon as I plug it in.

Far Our stuck in Game Over. Won't reset.

Hello.

I just bought anotger EM, a Gottlieb Far Out machine. It stays in game over and won't reset at all. If I hit the start button nothing happens. Also, when I manually push in the QB/Game Over Relay, it buzzes pretty loud. Any help to get me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues *Update*

I think I know a lot about how this machine works now. I am still planning on picking up the Far Out machine next weekend if that is okay with you.

Well they do reset, just not by the door button. But I will when I get home and let you know what I find out.

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues *Update*

I think I got it all working... except one thing... The 1-6 rollovers don't reset after a new game. I must turn it off and back on for it to work. I am glad it's up and running okay again. Thanks everyone for your help. I think I spent like 5 hours watching videos about AX relays. Finally ti...

Re: Team One Scoring.

I'll have to take a look. I believe it to be the scoring motor, and I really don't like looking at that. There's a ton of contacts there. If and when I do adjust contacts, I adjust them at the base. I made a bender out of some steel at work kinda like the ones that they sell. Works like a charm.

Team One Scoring.

What would cause the scoring to be added wrong? Is it the scoring motor or the relays themselves?

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues

Well I thought I was. This ax relay is giving me a very hard time again. Scores haywire and I dont even know about the ball count and roll over switches anymore. At the moment it is a glorified night light. Don't mind looking at it though. I'll get this beast going eventually. Just been taking every...

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues

Well after a whole afternoon of tinkering I think I have it figured out. :) On the backboard there is an AX switch. The relay isn't pulling back all the way. I poked it with a stick (AX) and it stopped cycling. I was able to play a round with 3 ball. Some reason on 5 ball I don't get 5, only 4. But ...

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues

It's alright Mark. I will figure it out eventually. It's all learning. Maybe when I get the Far Out that will be a simple fix and then I can use that for my play one while I work on this one.

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues

It was working okay when purchased. I played it throughout the day and slowly things started acting weird. At first you could get about 10 games in before the score reel would cycle. I would power it off and after a few tries it would work again. The more it happened the easier it was for it to lock...

Re: Team One Possible Score Reel Issues

So... I got it to stop resetting (only on the 5 ball setting, the 3 ball setting just puts it back in the reset loop.) The 1,000 digit score reel doesn't reset unless the reel displays a 9. Even after it resets, the ball launcher doesn't register and if I manually push the ball rollover next to the ...

Haha, never mind. It's stuck on startup again.
