3 strikes eh? Never played this format before. Basically triple elimination? Could I draw Tom in the first round. Play SM, lose. Win my second game against whoever on WCS. Draw Tom again on IM, lose. Etc...

It's all completely random. The program picks the matches and the games. Pretty easy to run.
I played in two of them Art ran in Chicago. It wasn't fun getting my ass kicked on IM by Josh Henderson.
So your scenario could happen but I doubt it.
