Thanks for the follow-up, Hilton,

In regard to Strikes and Spares, I'm in the camp of it being "not pinball". It is a neat novelty and I think would be a great charity side tournament game.

Strikes n spares- leave it out.... That game is insanely easy, in that multiple players will get perfect scores, most likely evreytime. Could have negative side effect to a positive event.

good point. What about flash? (I think that is what it is called) Where you shoot till you miss a strike and then your turn is over?

Is it really that easy? i must suck at it as the best I have done is 9 perfect frames and then choke, lol.

IFPA confirms it is considered a novelty game. Settles it, no S&S for competition.

It's that easy... Paul o and I crushed that thing, including flash, at Chris's.

Maybe throw a couple of power balls in it to mix it up?

Curious if anyone has the ability to video and stream to a TV an overhead shot of games? and would be interested in doing this for SCS. Would be really cool to have something that can at minimum capture an overhead view of the playfield and we could possible put over a few key games. Thinking mainly used for the final round when the other 14 are done and the top 2 are duking it out? Could be cool.

This is one year where we will have the space for spectators so would be nice to be able to watch some of the skills of the great players in our state.

I have no idea what even goes into this so I may be crazy.

If anyone is able to lend a hand with moving and leveling/tweaking machines on Thursday Feb 11th in the afternoon/evening please let me know.

Will also like help saturday night late after the event is done.

Still looking for anyone that may be insterested in setting up a camera to a direct line TV feed for spectators. I am told Schwoeglers does not have the bandwidth to stream to internet, but direct feed to TV could be cool so spectators can watch games if someone has abilities and wants to tackle this? no worries if not

Do you know when the game line up will be finalized? I'd like to do some research and know some of the rules on unfamiliar games, rather than flail away like I usually do.

final line up wont be solidified until probably the day of (route machines are tough to keep running ;) and not sure exactly total # that will fit in back room comfortably)

The majority of the line up is on site already. Assume 1 or 2 may swap out by then and if things work out then 1 or 2 may be added just for the event, but the majority are all there now.)

HS2, SP, AMH, Cyclone, RK, Taxi, goldstrike, BW, STpro, KISS, SWEP1

Good chance Taxi will be out by then and replaced with something new.

I am hoping we can bring in an additional EM and a gottlieb as I would like more diversity in that departments for SCS.

If anyone has a cool and good playing machine they want to offer up to bring over then please message me offline to discuss.

also worth note that other games we have at the other 2 locations are possiblities to come in for SCS.

We may try to arrange a few location game swaps around the SCS in order to increase game count for SCS/ just those couple days.

Will Strikes and Spares be used for SCS? I assumed no because it's a novelty game.

Sean is correct. IFPA deems it to be novelty (similar to a pitch and bat)
