Re: Star Wars

I had a couple quarters eaten... figured it was just a usual mech thing, no biggie. We played maybe six four-pack games and got our bonus credits each time. Most times I was one of the players, and I was putting in bills, if that matters. Did you see the hidden Admiral Ackbar pop cover behind the LC...

Re: Star Wars

I think I remember the video saying that turning on and off just lets you move (or not move) the multipliers around. "On" and "off" is very misleading if that's true, but the arrows don't move when it's "on", so I think that's the difference.

Re: July 22nd Ballers Event

Full info posted in the Detailed Schedule thread.

We've got our Star Wars on order... it's possible we get it in time, but I highly doubt it.

Re: Star Wars

Happy Birthday! Ain’t no way you aren’t going to beat my GC. My best strategy so far has been: 1. Choose Han 2. Pick +5 TIE Fighters 3. Flail around trying to hit as many TIE Fighters as possible 4. Repeat until TIE multiball 5. After TIE multiball, start shooting blinky stuff I might be leaving som...

Re: FS: Virtual pinball machine

I would do any band for a sale,
Yes I would do any band for a sale,
I would do any band for a sale,
But I won’t do Meatloaf.
No, I won’t do Meatloaf.

(I’m not actually gonna spray the table... you don’t want me anywhere near a rattlecan, the only color I can make is “runny”. :) )

Re: FS: Virtual pinball machine

Thanks! Before I got into pinball I thought there was a size of house that was sufficient. If I could just keep digging down and adding more basements so I never had to sell anything, I would. :)

Re: Star Wars

I played a ton of Star Wars tonight. It’s awesome! The sound is great, the shots all feel good, there’s no evil-irritating drains, it’s faster than heck, and the TIE Fighter hammer-the-button mode is great fun! Thanks for putting it on route, Madison Pinball! Anybody who wants to try Star Wars, Mari...

Re: Star Wars

And all is right in the world again. :)

Maria's opens at 6pm, right? Cause I'm off work already and NOT playing Star Wars.

Re: Star Wars

We've all seen JJP, Spooky, and Heighway tables down for the count, too. The idea that Stern can't make good pinball tables is demonstrably false. If Stern sucked, Adam Smith would have choked them to death rather than {insert the name of almost any pinball company here}. These really are idiotic ma...

Congrats!

Jean-Luc heads out, Kirk slides in. It's too bad they never made a DS9 table. :)

Re: Star Wars

If Stern (or JJP) waited until the product was DONE, we'd have gotten Ghostbusters a couple months ago, and Star Wars wouldn't be out for six months. And it's not just Stern or pinball in general. Look at any software product; they add features over time, and the market has determined that's good. N...

Re: What do you guys do?

Our agent (State Farm) said everything was covered, too. I am definitely guilty of not documenting my fancy toy acquisitions. If my house went up in flames, nobody would believe how much crap I have. Not pinball tables... there’s probably more circuit boards in my house right now than there is toile...

Re: Star Wars

Yeah, it sounds like they haven’t figured out (or don’t want to for control reasons) how to distribute a “baked” SD card via the Internet. I’d be curious to see how long these SD cards last in the wild. SD cards have limited read/write cycles, and QC isn’t exactly tight. So long as Stern is happy to...

Re: Star Wars

Well, if the code isn't ready and the table is, you could ship the table, knowing that it would take a week to work its way through shipping companies, and then deliver the SD card by FedEx or something, overnight. Customer gets their table faster, customer gets newer, better code, and your factory ...

Re: FS: Virtual pinball machine

Hey, I like it! I would have chosen a Joshua Tree stencil if I had my druthers, but where the heck do ya find one of those? :)
