Re: Schwoegler's Monthly Tournament

I would *never* do anything like that!! Nick put up big scores on both South Park and ACDC in the final rounds, and knowing how well Ryan consistently plays ACDC makes it a well earned first place. Congrats to all the top finishers! Someday I hope to be able to join them. Someday...

Re: Schwoegler's Monthly Tournament

With the heat bringing folks in for some pinball, we had 26 participants at Schwoegler's this past Saturday including 5 brand new players! I saw a lot of seasoned players helping everyone with rules and general playing, which was great to see! I had a great time, so thanks to everyone who stopped ou...

Re: September 5th/26th league at schwoeglers?

Everyone, the board took a vote and have decided to keep things as originally outlined (with September and December as months off). This is something we will get feedback on for next season, but for 2015 will just stay the course. Yes, league could certainly happen in any public location that has 4+...

Don't listen to Dave, he's crazy. I'll go $325 - you shouldn't take a penny less and I'll even pick it up! That has to be one of the nicest Sinbad machines around. Great work as always, Tim.

Re: July League Night... July 25th

Thanks for hosting, KingPin! Games were all well tuned and played GREAT! Food was awesome, and I had a great time! Thanks much! Hope the "smokin coil" smell has dissipated a bit! :D

Congrats to Ken on the win, and Tim for taking it to the final round!

Re: Schwoegler's Monthly Tournament

hmmmm...maybe I need to start playing in the Tim E group from now on! :) That's a great story - I can only imagine what the karaoke crowd was thinking. At least they didn't serenade you with "Pinball Wizard". Congrats on winning the battle, Tim! It was a smaller crew this time but everyone...

Re: Schwoegler's - more games coming soon!

It's not the only one, but they're few and far between. Biggest collection of EM's is up at the Pinball Museum in the Dells (thanks, Craig!) and I know there's one other at Rossi's as well. Gold Strike used to be out at the Plaza for many, many years and because of that, a lot of Madisonians are fam...

Re: Schwoegler's - more games coming soon!

The 1975 classic Gold Strike has been added to the lineup out at Schwoegler's! It's in the bar area next to Taxi, so it's not the sad lonely pin in there anymore. I think I actually saw Taxi brighten up a little when it got some company. Went through this game pretty thoroughly and replaced a ton of...

Re: 1962 Williams Trade Winds SOS!

Interesting - found some references to a "bang switch" in older Williams machines. Learn something new every day! :) I'd definitely skip hitting the bottom of my game every time I wanted to play it and just install a switch or put it on a switched circuit or whatever you were doing before.

Re: 1962 Williams Trade Winds SOS!

Welcome to the site! Not exactly sure what "hitting the bottom of it" means. There should be a power switch in the lower right front of the game that you turn the machine on/off with as opposed to pulling the plug from the wall. Is this what you mean? Regarding lifting up the playfield, af...

Re: Topics for discussion for 2016 Season

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. The board is putting together an official survey to be given to members to vote on at the next league. For those unable to make it, we'll still figure out a way for you to get your votes in.
