Re: The Mothership is landing

The Pro art would have been good if they could have worked in the rotating wheel into the backglass. It’s probably a bit beyond Stern’s BoM to swipe an old Black Hole motor to make that happen, though, even in an LE. The Premium is iconic, and I’m not bothered by it. I never did like the angel thing...

Re: The Mothership is landing

So you’ve got the Indiana Jones vault down there, now? You must be anxious to start building your System 11 museum. Are you going to put an elevator in? :D

Re: The Mothership is landing

Are you gonna be the guy with a Zeppelin sandwiched between two GnR's, Chris? :)

I might be in the market for this one too... we need to change stuff up a bit, and have gone on a bit of a buying spree. (Thanks, Kingpin!) I love Zeppelin, but I might be the only one in the house who does.

Re: pinball podcasts

If anyone hasn’t listened to Stuff You Should Know, check it out. They give a ~60 minute overview of any particular topic, ranging from volcanoes to Lewis & Clark to shrooms. It’s like listening to a couple knowledgeable friends chat about something... not too geeky or dry. They’re apparently on...

Re: Move Confirmed

Grading is definitely important. The dirt on one side of our old house was retrograde for a while, and we'd get water in the basement. We had to replace the carpet in our pinball room as a result. After building up a nice grade of dirt away from the house, we never had problems again. Build up more ...

Re: Nintendo Switch.... Club?

I’m playing Hades lately. Lots of fun! I generally get irritated with “rogue-likes” being repetitive, but the variety in your weapons and how each run plays through makes it engaging. The theme is great, the voice acting is great, and you really get a feeling of getting better at the game as you pla...

Re: Move Confirmed

Congrats! You might want to visit Florida for a couple weeks in February, but otherwise I’d say Wisconsin has the better end of the weather. If you make it up here in the next month or so you’ll also be treated to the best part of the year, as the trees all go technicolor!

Re: Awwww. Damn It

Wow, congrats on the new place, Chris! It's a bummer for all of us, of course, and I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to send you off, but I hope the move goes smoothly for you, and you find some pinball people way cooler than Nobling in Missouri. We were getting into pinball only a few years ago... w...

Re: So..., tell me about the Madison area

You could do what I did, and put a less-deep game there. I kept The Games for a while simply because it was six inches less deep than my other games, which made it fit in a tight spot. :) Nice that you ended up with a few slots that are topper-compatible. Looks like plenty of room for a group to pla...

Re: FS: Star Trek: the Next Generation $4000

I like how as the looming move of your giant pile of games comes ever closer you're deciding to part with more of them :) Crazy Strangeway's Moving Sale! EVERYTHING MUST GO! heh Yeah, I keep going over the dimensions in the new basement and as much as I want to keep more machines, I'm just not goin...

I think the logo changed to be essentially a “refresh” a while ago. I used to use it too, but have now conditioned myself to using “Board Index”.

Congrats, MIke! Two pins on the same day is pretty crazy!

Mine should be arriving today, too... Kingpin Claus is bringing this one straight to my house! Ho ho ho!

Thanks for maintaining this site! It's a huge service to our community, and from the spammers that I notice occasionally burst through the defenses, obviously not something that just runs itself.
