Thanks Todd and Laura! It was a great time, thank you for your hospitality.
I'm glad I was finally able to break my streak of missing out. It was really cool to see the young kids showing up. It had been a while since I had a good multi-generational ass kicking.

Re: Call for Hosts in 2019
I'll officially bow out for November. I think the basement MIGHT be ready by then, but I'd rather not risk it. Thanks to Chris for picking that up. I'm eyeing up December, but I'll give it a couple of weeks to see how things progress before committing. I'm also now an official advocate for battery b...

Re: Call for Hosts in 2019
I probably need to cancel hosting for November. I got water in my basement over the weekend, and I'm dealing with that right now. The pins are fine, but the basement will need a lot of work. I'm hoping I'll have everything back together in the next couple of months, but I just can't say for sure. I'...

Re: Rumor mill - upcoming games
Reviving this since I can't seem to keep things straight, and for some reason I still get excited even though there's a practically 0 chance I'll buy a new game any time soon.. So now that the SW home pin was announced, what's next? It seems the next "cornerstone" game is expected pretty s...

Re: July 13th Ballers - Chris/Chateen, Oregon
I'm really bummed I couldn't make it. I was feeling it out all day, hoping the little guy would recover and I could leave for the night guilt-free! no such luck. I'm pretty sure this is the 2nd Ballers I've missed due to sick kids. I was really looking forward to seeing how the basement turned out. ...

Re: FreePlay Florida
I was in the area last year while it was happening. I was checking for some pinball around me while on a vacation. I saw that FreePlay just happened to be about a 10m cab ride from my hotel... I managed to resist the urge to sneak off and get some late night games in, mostly due to the cost and the ...

Re: Board Games
I've been going a little crazy lately learning about all of the stuff that's out there. It's fun, and reminds me of when I first started to discover all of the different pinball machines and their rules. I added Lost Cities to the collection, and gave that a few plays. That one turned out to be a re...

I'm going to have to update my status to out. I've got a sick kiddo.
Bummed. Have fun, all.

Re: St Louis City Museum 22 EM machines to play and more
Funny, a non-pinball friend of mine was just out there and sent me pics of all those EMs. Pretty cool!

Good stuff - thanks for the advice. I'll definitely check out that board game store - I didn't realize they had rentals.

Board Games
I've recently gotten into board games just a little. I've had some pretty epic campaigns in Risk and GOT over the years, but Catan was new to me as off last year, as were Ticket to Ride and Pandemic. Those sort of woke me up to how many different great games there are out there. Anyone able to offer...

Bummer - I was hoping to see the new place, but we have family in town that weekend for my daughter's bday.

Re: Willy Wonka revealed
There's a lot that could just be taken and implemented as industry standard. I love the audits on TNA - I can just take out my phone and take a picture of a single screen (or maybe 2 with a scroll) of all of the gameplay audits. That's way more convenient than cycling through and trying to take note...
